Nécrologie de Allison Loraine Weippert
Allison Loraine Weippert, 46, of Richmond, passed away at home, surrounded by family, on Monday, February 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her father, Marvin J. Franger, Jr. Allie was born November 1, 1974 in Charlottesville Virginia to Carolyn and Marvin J. Franger. She attended the University of Richmond where she met her husband Jason Weippert, and where they later married on September 4, 1999. After obtaining her bachelor’s degree in 1996, she went on to get her Master’s degree in sign language interpretation from Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Allie was an active member of the West End Presbyterian Church. She was loved for her sense of humor, her candor, and her tender heart. There were few things she loved more than making her husband laugh.  During their annual trips to Sanibel Island, FL, Allie looked forward to hunting for and collecting seashells, and rejoiced on days when she discovered “honey holes.” She also enjoyed doing a variety of puzzle books, cross stitch, sewing, arts and crafts, and her more recent hobby – paint by numbers. “Pizza Fridays” with a movie were one of the highlights of her week, and Allie found joy in tending to her garden and bird watching from her kitchen window. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Jason Weippert; children, Hannah, Harrison, Andrew; mother, Carolyn Franger; and many more family and friends.  The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.  Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 5, in Westhampton Memorial Park, followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at West End Presbyterian Church, 9008 Quioccasin Rd., Richmond, VA 23229. A livestream of the memorial service will be available at www.wepc.org. In lieu of flowers, we are asking people to consider a donation to either the Massey Cancer Center or Hospice of Virginia.
