Anna Louise Gordon

81, of Mechanicsville, passed peacefully August 6, 2016, with her family by her side. Anna is survived by her brother, Walter D. Robertson (Carol); sons, Herbert W. (Betty) and Garry L. (Elaine De Jovin); grandsons, Travis (Brandy) and Jeremy (Theresa); great-grandchildren, Tristan, Kyla, Cora and Seth; and loyal companion, “Delix.” She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert W. Gordon; parents, Theodore and Lydia Robertson; brothers, Wallace J. Robertson, John B. Robertson, Alvin T. Robertson; and sister, Audrey J. Weiler. Anna’s life centered around her husband and family. After her children were grown, she started a successful career with AT&T, where she worked until she and her husband, Herb, retired to devote themselves to fishing, camping and attending auctions. For many years, Anna and Herb served as park volunteers and hosts, and even after her husband’s death, Anna continued to camp in her travel camper, taking trips to Missouri and Minnesota in addition to her favorite Virginia parts. A memorial service for Anna will be held on August 11, 2016, 11 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. 23231.
