Billy Lee Blaylock

Blaylock, Billy Lee, passed into the loving arms of his Lord on Monday, August 25th, 2014. Billy lived a life of service. He was a Military Police Officer in Okinawa and later, a Richmond City Police Officer for 35 years. After his retirement, Billy was a faithful and devoted member of Sandston Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Trustee. He was also a long-standing member of Masonic Lodge 216. Billy leaves behind the love of his life, his devoted wife of 33 years, Mary. He also leaves behind his five daughters; Karen Rutledge, Pam Mann, Faye Prichard, Susan Shaw, Joyce Hall; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family is grateful for the support of Billy’s sister-in-law Lois Barrett and the on-going support of their extended and loving church family. The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 27 from 2-4 and 6-7pm with a Lodge of Sorrow service following at 7pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, August 28 at 11am at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Rd. Sandston, VA 23150. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
