

Carroll K. Davis, 92, of Sandston, passed away on October 27, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Campbell Davis; father, John Elmer Davis; mother, Helen Gould Davis; brother, John; and great-grandchild, Alex. He was a retired carpet wholesaler of Canterbury Carpets, Ltd. Mr. Davis was a member at First English Lutheran Church. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Babcock Lodge #322 A.F. & A.M., where he served as Worshipful Master in 1962 during the lodge’s 50th anniversary. Mr. Davis was an avid collector of antique British cars. He is survived by his son, Carroll Kemp Davis, Jr.; daughters, Margaret “Peggy” Jane Davis, Carolyn Franz; grandchildren, Trey Davis, Kevin Davis; great-grandchildren, Mia, Jonathan, Elisabeth, Kasey, and Piper; sister, Jane Davis Collins as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service to be held at 7:30 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231. A graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Washington Memorial Park.
