Charles William Layne

Charles is predeceased by his father, William Layne; his mother, Ruby Layne; and his brother, Erven Layne.

He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Lewis (William) and his son, Ryan (Tiffany); Grandsons, Brayden, Alex & Devin; Granddaughters Alana (Gabi) and Ashley; Brothers, Ricky (Evette) and Tony (Cressandra) Layne; Sisters, Betty Faulkner, Gloria Atkins (Mike) & Tammy Smith (Alan); Nieces & Nephews, Gregg, Landon, Landon Jr., Matthew, Jordan, Alexandra, Nate, Michael (Greta), Corey, Michael (Alyssa), Shawn, Tony Jr., Lindsey (Luke), Logan, Sheridan, Brady, Chris (Vesper), Brandon (Jen) & Alison (Austin).

Charles lived a simple but full life. He loves God, family, country, Redskins, Dale Earnhardt Sr. (#3), Smokey & the bandit, all westerns, WWE Wrestling. He loved to eat meat & potatoes, “Nanny breakfast”, Carini pizza, and tootsie rolls. He made the best yeast rolls you’ve ever had. We will always feel the void of his absence but he is in our Lord’s Glory Surrounded by Loved Ones who got to Heaven first. Love you Charles! Miss you already!

The family will receive friends, Monday, July 8 from 9 a.m. until service time at 10 a.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave, Richmond, VA, 23231. Burial will be private.
