Daniel Anthony Pastore, 89, of Mechanicsville, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Giacomo and Stella Pastore; and brothers, Frank, John and Joseph. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Marion Johnson Pastore; children, Teresa (Mark) Robins and Mary (Robert) Bestafka; grandchildren, Ami Robins, Lesley Mannino, Laila and Zack Keliani and Natalie Bestafka; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Seth, Faith, Leah, Dane, Charlestyn, Matteo and Gianluca, who will miss their "Pampa" greatly; siblings, Natalie Johnson, Michael Pastore, Gus Pastore and Virginia Ann Walsh. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 12, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231. Services will be held on Monday, July 13, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church, 811 W. Nine Mile Rd., Highland Springs, Va. 23075, with burial following at Washington Memorial Park. A reception will follow at St. John's Catholic Church. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Hanover County Rescue Squad.
