He was a self-employed HVAC contractor and was a member of Fort Lee Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Varina High School, Class of 1974 and J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College.
He is survived by his brothers, John Wesley Hicks III (Susan) and James Edward Hicks (Gail); nieces and nephews, Gina Faust (Conrad) and children, Jessica Weeks (Garren) and children, Sarah M. Hicks and John Christopher Hicks.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m. on David’s property with a Celebration of His Life following the burial at his home.
Please come dressed informally.
David was loved by his family, friends and animals, especially Rascal and Zippy.
