David Allen Leake

David was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and LaVerne Leake. He retired as an Assistant Parts Manager at Sheehy Ford Richmond and was a devoted member of Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church. A 1975 graduate of Varina High School, he also attended Virginia Commonwealth University.

David enjoyed a life filled with passions and hobbies, including hunting, playing guitar and piano, attending concerts, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach. He cherished spending time at the river with friends and family. A sports enthusiast, he loved most all sports, especially following the Yankees, Jets, and the Winston Cup NASCAR days.

David is survived by his brothers, Dale Leake (Sheila) and Doug Leake, his niece, Carter Leake, and his nephew, Cooper Leake. The family extends their gratitude to the various caregivers who cared for David, the friends who recently visited him, and everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time.

A graveside service will be held in Washington Memorial Park, located at 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, VA 23150, on February 27, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
