She was preceded in death by her parents, Freddie R. and Mary S. Goodman, and her brother Ronnie K. Goodman. She was married to her devoted husband and caretaker, Henry C. Wickham, Jr. for 58 years. She is survived by Henry and her two daughters, Terri Wickham Mothershead (Troy) and Chris Wickham Franklin (James), and grandchildren, Meredith Anne Mothershead, Samuel Cole Franklin and Noah Paul Franklin, brother Fred Goodman (Becky) and sister Judy Welsh (Horace), nephews and nieces, Lee Goodman (Courtney), Brooke W. Bottari (Michael) and Keith Goodman (Lauren) and great nephews, Andrew and Styles and great nieces, Maddie and Veronica.
Deloris worked as a secretary for multiple organizations, such as American Tobacco Company, Tull Metal, McGuire-Woods Law firm and Henrico County Public Schools. She is best known for her many acts of community service through her volunteer efforts in the Seven Pines Elementary School PTA, Corinth United Methodist Church, Henrico County Christmas Mother, Relay for Life, and the Windsor Club of Elko where she established a community college scholarship for local students.
Deloris is known for her generous and selfless spirit, love of family, music, ice cream, hummingbirds, and shopping. Her favorite place to be was Myrtle Beach, listening to the sounds of sea gulls, crashing waves, collecting shells, with her toes in the sand.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at Corinth United Methodist Church at 23 W. Williamsburg Road in Sandston for visitation from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, VA 23150.
