Dennis Frederick Harlow was born January 1, 1949, in Richmond, VA. He went to his eternal rest on October 6, 2016 at Hanover Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Curtis and Kathleen Harlow, and his sister, Kathleen Drake. He is survived by a sister, Patricia Armstrong (Rich), and brothers, Anthony Harlow, Michael Harlow, Stephen Harlow (Terri), Timothy Harlow (Colleen), Thomas Harlow (Connie), Patrick Harlow, and Vincent Harlow (Janet). He is also survived by several cousins including David Duke (Elsie), and a number of nieces and nephews. Jackie Capehart, a close friend of many years, also survives. Dennis was happiest when working and spent 40 years working at Southern Materials Gravel Company, which later was sold to other gravel companies. The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 12, from 1-2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
