Donald James Vergilia, Jr.

Donald James Vergilia, Jr., age 67, of Henrico, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Don was a highly skilled mechanic. Throughout the years, he held many positions as a diesel mechanic until he found a home and family with Holiday Ice. He was a dedicated father, friend, and loving Papa to his grandchildren. He had a soft spot for animals and loved his dogs, Max and Diesel. Don grew up in Rochester, NY, and had a passion for traveling; however, always found home to be in New York. Don was an old school gear head and a bit of a wild child in his prime. He was always known for a good laugh. Don was predeceased by both of his parents. He is survived by his children and grandchildren. He will be loved and greatly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23231. Following the memorial service, there will be a reception lasting until 6 p.m. at Nelsen Reception Center, 4660 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Virginia 23231. All friends are invited to attend.
