She was a member of Sandston Baptist Church and enjoyed the church book club, Bible Class, the Friendly Club, gardening and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Newbill and is survived by her children, Donna Newbill Thompson (Andy) and Michael Newbill (Sharyn); grandchildren, Landon Ellett Thompson (Sarah) and Jaime Newbill Hicks (Joe); great-grandchildren, Nora Elise Thompson, Joshua Ellett Thompson, Lucas Cole Hicks and Sawyer Joseph Hicks.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at Sandston Baptist Church, 100 W. Williamsburg Road, Sandston, VA 23150.
Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
