She was preceded in death by her parents, Royce M. and Mary L. (Specth) Riley; and brother, Bill Riley.
Dorothy retired from the National Institutes of Health where she worked as an accountant. In her early years, she enjoyed snow skiing all over the world and was a member of various ski clubs. When her children were younger, she enjoyed yearly vacations to Nags Head with her family. Recently, Dorothy found joy in travelling to Atlantic City and Las Vegas to gamble with her husband.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 53 years, Donald Wilbur; sons, Michael Wilbur, Paul Wilbur (Jill); and grandson, Luke Wilbur.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, July 25, 2025, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
