

Elizabeth Anne Gleghorn Tolley Madison, age 79, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, March 8, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry Dewey Sr. and Elizabeth Perkins Gleghorn; and her first husband, Kirby J. Tolley. Anne was born in Richmond, VA in 1935, and graduated from Thomas Dale High School in 1953. After graduation, she started her career at the Life Insurance Company of Virginia. She also held several prominent positions at Bill Talley Ford and Dr. Alfred E. Wilkinson’s Chiropractors office. Anne was a long-standing member of Willis United Methodist Church in Glendale, VA, where she served as secretary in the 1970’s. Some of the many joys of Anne’s free time were tending to her vegetable garden and her roses. Anne is survived by her husband, Clarence M. Madison; daughters, Kathryn Minschew (Erick), Kay Pearson (Frank); step-daughter, Cindy Mayberry; grandsons, Brooks (Mandy), Nicholas, Max, Brad and Jeff; great-grandchildren, Riley, Maxie, and Michael; brother, Henry Gleghorn (Carey); niece and nephew, Stacy and Matthew; cousin, Nancy Bergman (George); and long-time friends, Jean and Jack Koobs, Eleanor and Earl “Buddy” Houston, and Al and Ella Wilkinson; along with a host of other extended family and friends. Her bright and wonderful personality will be missed by them all. Graveside services will take place on Tuesday, March 10th, 11 a.m. at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA.
