GAY, Faye Anita, 83, of Henrico, passed away February 9, 2016. Her greatest joys as a homemaker were sewing, cooking, and gardening. She was also an animal lover, and especially cared for her dog Misty, and her birds, Sierra and Ceasar. Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Leo “Tiny” Gay Sr. She is survived by her children, Deborah Somoza (Oscar), Pamela Gay (Larry), Leo “Fred” Gay Jr. (Debra), and Darlene Hicks (Robert); her grandchildren, Chris Adickes (Jamie), and Michael Somoza; Shelley Jenkins (Donnie), and Brandon Orange; Freddie (Jenn), Mandy, and Cory (Tonya) Gay; Robbie (Rachel), Scott, and Justin Hicks, and Jena Herring (Andy); 11 great grandchildren; and her dear friend Shirley Hobson. Visitation will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum on Saturday, February 13, 2016 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home Laburnum on Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 10 am with interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
