Frances Wood Anderson

She was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence Andrew Anderson, and will be lovingly remembered by her children, Cindy Waters (Larry) and Kevin Anderson (Pattie); grandchildren, Kristin Maddox, Erin Willis (Ryland), Britton Hartmann (Jon), Ann Waters, and Levi Mitchell; and great-grandson, Noah Maddox.

Frances was a life-long member of the Methodist Church, active in chancel choirs and handbell choirs, first at Calvary United Methodist, then at Stratford Hills, and finally at Mt. Pisgah. She worked for several years at Prudential Insurance before having children. She enjoyed gardening and arts and crafts, and spent many hours crafting items for school fundraisers through the years. As grandchildren arrived, she was always happy to keep them, and they all have fond memories of time at Grandma’s house.

The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. on Thursday, January 16, at 11 a.m. for visitation and light refreshments, followed by a service at 12 p.m. in the chapel there.

Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
