Frances H. Haynie, 82, of Sandston, born in Lancaster County, VA on August 28, 1932, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, James D. Haynie; parents, Edward and Vergie Haywood; and siblings, Grace Wheeler, Ernest Haywood and Harold Haywood. Frances dedicated 26 years to A.H. Robins as a factory worker before she retired. She’s a faithful member of Fairmount United Methodist Church, and was best known by her family as a gifted cook and seamstress. Frances adored her dogs, and the one eyed squirrel and his friends whom she would feed every day. Left to cherish her memory is her son, James L. Haynie; brother, Robert D. Haywood (Lynda); and a host of family and friends. She will forever be missed. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 16th at 12pm with funeral services to immediately follow at 1pm. All services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
