Garland P. Lucord “Lou”, 65, of Varina, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 6, 2013. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Hall (John); son, Shannon Lucord; adopted daughter, Rhonda Lewis (John); three grandchildren, John Michael Hall, Jr., Samantha Diane Hall, and Madison Lucord; and two sisters, Edda Mae and Judy. Mr. Lucord was a retired employee of Lee-Hy Paving. He served our country as a U.S. Marine Veteran. The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue Richmond, Va 23231, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2013. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
