Hath Muth, born May 5, 1959 in Siem Reap, Cambodia, met our Lord on Monday, August 31, 2015. She was surrounded by her loved ones when she lost her courageous 7 year battle to metastatic breast cancer.
In 1985, she moved to the United States with her then husband and their two daughters. In 1990, Hath started to work for Tyson Foods, where she dedicated 24 years of service. During that time, she met Robert Johnson and he introduced her to Jesus Christ. She was later baptized, on March 6, 2011, and became a member of Midlothian Baptist Church. In 2008, Hath finally returned back to Cambodia where she introduced Jesus Christ to her small community and constantly spoke of God and his loving grace. While visiting her home land, Hath helped build a Christian church which has now been completed. Without Hath’s strong belief, she would not be able to spread the word of Jesus Christ.
Hath Muth is survived by her two daughters, Vun Men and Pirun Men; ex-husband, Voeun Men, and his wife, Vanny Meas; son in law, Pierre Monroe, and his mother and devoted friend, Bonita Monroe; special friend, Robert Johnson; as well as a host of other relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers who will always remember her.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 4, 2015 from 5pm to 8pm at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1pm in the chapel of Nelsen Funeral Home with internment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Reception Center at Nelsen Funeral Home following the burial.
