Hello Laura and family,

I am so sorry to learn of Hervey's passing.  Without reason Hervey came to mind tonight, but by my faith I know why.  

He and I had a fun friendship, one which will be forever in my heart.  He was a man rooted in family, friendship, hard work and health.   Laura, I remember when I met you with Hervey and how happy he was to be with you.  Although I haven't seen either of you since that time, I know his heart found a home with you. 

My most heart felt sympathies to you and all of his family.  May you know Hervey will be in my prayers from this day forward. And may he have found God's grace and mercy in Heaven.

I've known Hervey since pre-school. We grew up in the the same neighborhood and went to school together from elementary until our Varina High School graduation. I am so saddened to hear of his passing. Like several others have mentioned, the thing I most remember about him are his smile and kindness.
 
My heart goes out to his family at this sad time and may you rest in peace Hervey.

When Becky & I met 23 years ago, Hervey was the one person both of us knew.  Becky has memories from the time he was 11.  Hervey & I crossed paths many times over the years, until we had the good fortune to work together at B-Dry.  His passion for life was an inspiration.  We'll never forget him & our thoughts & prayers are with you.

To Laura, Charles and Alice - I can't find the words to express the shock and sadness I felt when I learned of Hervey's passing.  I've pretty much known him my whole life, as we sort of grew up together.  Seeing the photos this week of the Chincoteague Pony Penning reminded me of Hervey.  Fifty-one years ago this week, Hervey and I rode in the back of my Dad's pickup truck all the way to Chincoteague for Pony Penning.  So many wonderful memories.  I'll never forget his laugh or smile.  My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Hervey and I go back to the first grade in school and I have many great memories of our friendship. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family . He will not be forgotten 
But will be greatly missed.

Laura - I was shocked to learn of Hervey's passing.  My friendship with Hervey goes back quite a ways.  He always had that smile of his no matter what. Whenever I think of Hervey, I will always remember his high spirit and wonderful smile.  May God shine his light on you, keep you strong and be with you in comfort in the days ahead. My sympathy to the Blanton family on the loss of Hervery.

I have so many fond memories of Hervey back in the 70's.  Lots of dancing and water skiing. A fun person to be around.  I am so sadden to hear of his passing.  My prayers & condolences to all who knew and loved him.
