Howard “Blinky” White, 76, of Quinton, VA passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 in the presence of this loving family. Blinky retired after 23 years in the U.S. Navy as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. After his retirement he then dedicated 15 years of exemplary work to Philip Morris, USA. Blinky is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley Cheatham White; daughter, Pam Crosby (Mike) of Quinton, VA; sons, Stephen White (Annie) of Blue Ridge, VA and Mark White of Caroline Co., VA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will take place on Monday, November 3rd from 2-4 & 6-8 pm with funeral services on Tuesday, November 4th, 12 pm. All services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. Interment will be at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA. Please make a charitable donation in Howard's name to the Nature Conservancy or the Wounded Warriors.
