Frank had lived in the Richmond area all of his life except for a few years when he was in Korea. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Louisa Wood Smith, and his Father, Allie J. Smith, and his son, Donnie F. Smith of Sebring, FL. He has left to mourn his loss by his wife of 68 1/2 years, Barbara A. Smith.
Frank was a life member of the VFW post 9808 and also a member of the Mason Varina Lodge #272 and the American Legion. He was a member of Hardy Central Baptist Church for many years. He retired from the AMF Bakery Division after 26 years. In the last few years, both Frank and Barbara visited nursing homes to entertain the patients with his signature song "My Way". What a guy!
He attended the Chickahominy YMCA for many years and made many lifelong friends. HE WAS A TRUE FRIEND AND WOULD HELP ANYONE HE COULD. HE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY PEOPLE.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the VFW Post 9808, 7168 Flag Ln, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
