LANHAM, Karen Smith, 58 of Henrico County, passed away on April 5, 2015. Karen is preceded in death by her father, Boyd Smith; grandparents; and brother, Robert Keith Smith. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years, William Roydon Lanham; four children, Chris (Sarah), Kenny (Elise), Kimberly (Dustin), Josh (Magan); grandchildren, Tristan, Alyssa, Clayton, Aiden, Chelsea, Chase, Mason; siblings, Tommy (Sandy) Smith, Theresa Mayer; mother, Martha Smith; and a number of nieces and nephews. Karen was a loving wife, mother, daughter and sister who lived for her children and grandchildren, who knew her as Neena. She touched many other children’s lives in her 13 years of service at Donahoe Elementary. She will be missed by all. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9 at 11am. All services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
