Katherine Caldwell Parrish

PARRISH, Katherine Caldwell, 66, of Varina, went to be with our heavenly Father on June 23, 2017. She was preceded in death by her mother, Katherine Dickinson; and father, Lawrence Caldwell. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 38 years, David; daughter, Charlotte (William); brother, Larry Caldwell (Janci); sister, Mary Caldwell (Rick); sisters-in-law, Jeanne Tate (George), Suzanne Bulifant (Henry), Kathy Seebeck (Brian) and Jane Wargo (Michael); stepmother, Virginia Caldwell; stepsisters, Nancy White (Steve) and Anne Sherman (Michael); a large extended family and many close friends. Kathy loved the Lord and served him faithfully as a member of Full Gospel Tabernacle Church. She received her degree in education from Queens College in North Carolina, followed by a career in teaching, retail and trying to keep her husband on a straight and narrow path (which she did very well). She loved everyone she met, enjoyed telling stories, having a good laugh and being with her family and friends. She never turned down a game of solitaire, especially if there was an option for double or triple solitaire. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27, at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church, 4500 Turner Rd., Richmond, Va. 23234. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 29, at Full Gospel Tabernacle Church. Interment to follow at Washington Memorial Park.
