Kelly was born on April 27, 1983 and went to be with the Lord on October 28, 2019. She is survived by her husband, Alexander Chapman; mother and father, Diane and Ralph Barker; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patty and Robert Chapman; sister-in-law, Victoria Fairbank; nephew/nieces, James, Caroline, Elizabeth; grandmother Doris Adams; aunts and uncles, Patricia Berne (Tim), Rae Duke (Mike), Judy Barker, and numerous cousins. Kelly was a devoted elementary school teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia where she taught for over 12 years at Stratford Landing Elementary School. Prior to teaching in Fairfax County, she taught at A.M. Davis Elementary School in Chesterfield County, Virginia. Kelly loved her family and spending time at the beach. To honor Kelly, there will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Nelsen Funeral Home and Crematory , 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, Va. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 followed by a service at 11:00. Internment will be private at a later date.
