Kenneth Wayne Trimmer Sr.

Kenneth W. Trimmer Sr., 66, went to be with God on October 5, 2014. He is preceded in death by his father, George (Dinky) Trimmer; and his brother, Carl (Bo) Trimmer. Kenneth retired from Sheet Metal Local 100 as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, after 40 years of dedicated service. He coached his son in baseball for 10 years and after retiring he spent his summers camping, fishing and hanging with his friends at the New Point Campground. Despite all the fun he had with his friends, his true joy was his grandchildren. They were what kept him young and witty. His love and sense of humor will be missed by them all.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Linda; children, Angela Ratcliff (Bryan) of Chesterfield and Kenneth W. Trimmer of Sandston; granddaughters, Kristen Doan, Erika Miller and McKinley Trimmer; and his favorite grandson, Dustin Trimmer; mother, Ruth Trimmer; siblings, Judy Kopasci and Frank Trimmer; along with a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 8, 2014, 2-4 & 6-8 pm with Funeral Services Thursday, October 9, 2014, 11 am. All services will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. Interment will be in Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA.
