Lawrence was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence D. Powell, III. He is survived by his wife, Ann C. Powell; son, J. Barron Powell; three grandchildren, Brand Powell, Chris Clevenger, and Samantha Gobert; and one great grandson, Lucas Gobert.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231 where a funeral service will be held on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
