Leslie "Les" Schreiner

Les was born January 24, 1952 in Budapest, Hungary. His family immigrated to America in December 1956, settling in Cincinnati, OH to begin a new life. Following graduation, he joined the military achieving rank of SGT in the U.S. Air Force. He met and married Patty, who would be the love of his life for 43 years. As newlyweds, they moved to Richmond VA to start their family. To fulfill a childhood dream, he attained his pilots license and IFR rating after private flying lessons and countless hours in the cockpit. This led to his career as a charter pilot for Aero Industries at RIC, retiring in 2012. With both feet now on the ground, his retirement was filled with many good friends, laughter, and cooking amazing food. He knew a moment lasts for seconds but the memories last forever.

Les was preceded in death by parents, Ludwig and Emily Schreiner. He is survived by beloved wife, Patty; and sons, Camden and Cory; as well as his brother, George Schreiner and family of KY. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, and one hell of a cook! He’s now been cleared for take-off on that one last flight.

There are no funeral services planned, but a celebration of life will be scheduled for a future date for family and friends.
