She is predeceased by her loving husband Robert (Bob) of 64 years, parents Charles and Elinor Mylum, brothers Wilson and Lacy Mylum .

Margaret was born and raised in Prince Edward County. She left home at 17 after graduating from high school and moved to Richmond with one of her dear friends. They boarded at a home that was next door to Mr. and Mrs. Greer and that was when she met the love of her life, their son Bob. Married at 18, she and Bob started their lifelong journey together. Some of her fondest recollections were of their time spent in Hatteras back in the ‘60’s fishing with Bob’s parents. They soon built their forever home just outside of Sandston which holds so many special memories. Margaret was an avid tennis player, skier and swimmer but her passion was gardening. She loved tending to her beautiful plants and flowers year after year until she was no longer able to do so. After health issues slowed Margaret and Bob down, their time was usually spent outside on the patio with their cat, Scootie, and she is finally reunited with both.
The family wishes to extend a very special Thank You to neighbors Debbie and Jimmy McDonald for all their kindness and assistance during the past two years. Also, thanks to caregivers Patricia Robinson and Wanda Miller.
A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, September 24th at 1:00pm, Nelsen Funeral Home located at 4650 S. Laburnum Ave.
