She was a member of Bon Air United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Dean Kendrick; grandson, Sgt. Brandon Taylor Islip; and parents, George and Grace Tarkington.
She is survived by her children, Carol Crone (Chuck) and George Islip (Rosemary).
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 9, at 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231.
Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
