Marvin Warren Pitts Jr., passed away in the presence of his loving family on Thursday, November 13, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin & Lottie Pitts; and one sister, Carolyn. Marvin was known for him immaculate carpentry skills and worked for several years as a cabinet maker for Plastic Craft. During his leisure, he would enjoy Old Cars and watching television. Marvin leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 31 years, Dottie Pitts; four children, Duke, Bobby, Elvis and Megan Pitts; eight grandchildren, Raechel, Ashley, Christian, Eric, Kevin Alexus, Lisa and Cora; six siblings, Gary, Curtis, Shirley, Wilma, Robin and Norma; Aunt Edith and Uncle Wilbur; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives; his beloved dogs, Cupid, Jayden & Bella; and friends. He will be greatly missed by them all. Visitation will be Sunday, November 16th from 4-8 pm with funeral services Monday, November 17th, 11am. All services will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond VA 23231. Interment will be at Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery, Shewmansville, VA.
