Myrtle A. Smith

At her residence, the Lord called Myrtle A. Smith into eternal peace on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 to rest in His arms. She was born on June 6, 1947 to the late Marcellus and Cuetta Anderson. She was multi-talented in using her hands and making beautiful things. She also loved gardening. Myrtle was preceded in death by two of her children, Vincent Smith and Wilbur, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Alexander Smith of Richmond, VA; five children, Angela (Arthur) Guy of Lexington, Kentucky, Corey (Sharonda) Smith of Richmond, VA, Debra (Anthony) Drew of Richmond, VA, Ken and Keith Smith both of Richmond, VA; six sisters, Gladys Anderson of Montpelier, VA, Helen Derricott of Ruther Glen, VA, Mattie Anderson of Richmond, VA, Joyce Anderson of Richmond, VA, Nora Anderson of Dawn, VA, and Pamela (Andrew) Lewis of Ashland, VA; three brothers, Earl Anderson of Killeen, TX, Levi Anderson of Ashland, VA, and Edward (Elsie) Anderson; ten grandchildren, Clarissa, Tanisha, Aliyah, Christopher, Shyhiem, Teyona, Andrew, Destiny, Alisha, and Steffon; two step-grandchildren, Aria and Jasmyne; two brothers-in-law, Linwood (Elverlina) Smith and Alvin (Delores) Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Ann Dabney; aunts, Rev. Iola Smith, Sylvester Dabney, and Deaconess Martha Smith; uncles, David Dabney and Deacon Spencer Curtis, Sr.; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends; and special friends, Barbara Johnson and Vickie Wade.
