Nancy Elizabeth Peterson Parker

Nancy Elizabeth Peterson Parker, 81, of Richmond, passed peacefully in the arms of her family on April 21, 2014. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Inez and Arne Peterson; sister, Anita Peterson; and aunt, Marguerite Jackson. Ms. Parker retired from the Federal Reserve Bank after 31 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going to the river, working in her yard, feeding the birds and the squirrels, and playing bingo with Cathy and Annabelle. Ms. Parker is survived by her son, Robin Arne Parker and wife, Kelly; daughter, Nancy Isbell and partner, Kathy Lewis; grandson, Terry James Snead and wife, Angie and their children, Mariah Cheyenne Thomas, Savannah Rayne Snead, Makayla Grace Snead, and James Andrew Wayne Snead; granddaughter, Dr. Emily Snead and partner, Ellen Stanford, and their son Parker Leland Stanford; honorary granddaughter, Officer Chelsi Mallory; cousins, Beth and Jerry Hinton, and their daughter Ashley Hinton; and loving neighbors, Edna and Ernest Booker. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231, where a funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
