Nancy Andrews Straughn

She was born March 29, 1934 in Greensboro, NC and married on November 2, 1956. She enjoyed church activities as a member of Oakwood Memorial Baptist Church and loved traveling to gospel music venues.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse A. Straughn, Sr.; children, Jerry W. Andrews and Jesse Straughn, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Mary T. Andrews; siblings, Velma Fulp, Allen Andrews and Willie T. Andrews; and parents, Paul and Lessie Andrews.

She is survived by grandchildren, Allen Andrews, Danny Andrews, Matt Straughn and Ben Straughn; daughter-in-law, Marsha Straughn; sister-in-law, Anne Andrews; and great-grandchildren, Fatimah Straughn, Bankx Straughn, Trinity Burton, Nevaeh Andrews and Everly Andrews.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 24, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where a funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 25, at 10 a.m.

Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
