Rebecca Daniel Higgins

HIGGINS, Rebecca Daniel, 79, of Highland Springs, passed away on February 3, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Foster Higgins Sr.; father, John Eddie Daniel; mother, Irene Evelyn Daniel; sister, Va Getz; and brother, John Eddie Daniel Jr. She is survived by her children, Evelyn H. Jameson (Bill), Frances Ponga and James F. Higgins Jr.; grandchildren, Michelle L. Hicks-Goins (Greg), Jessica Suzanne Hicks, Lindsey D. Palmore Jr., Holly Palmore, Nikki Eberhard (Keenan); great-grandchildren, Tyler Hicks, Dylan Goins, Mikey Patrick, Kassidy Patrick, Erik Patrick, Keenan Eberhard and Kayden Eberhard. Rebecca worked for United Virginia Bank and Federal Armor. She was also a member of Oakhall Baptist Church and New Life Worship. She attended Highland Springs High School, enjoyed baseball, crocheting, and loved her Dallas Cowboys. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a service will be held Friday, February 8, 2019, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Washington Memorial Park.
