Richard D. Martin, 64, passed away on Mar. 4, 2014 in the presence of his loving family. Richard was predeceased by his parents Hugh and Maxine Martin; and siblings Susie, Jimmy and Paul. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Nancy W. Martin; children, Karen M. Yount (Michael), Nancy Lee Meager (Steve), and Niki Miller (Chad); seven grandchildren, Bradyn R. Yount, Chelsea, Christopher, Jessie, Rebecca, Nicole and Zachery Meager; siblings, Patricia, Frances, Hugh Jr. and David; along with a host of friends. He will be sorely missed. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Mar. 6, 2014 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., and funeral services will be Friday, Mar. 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. All services will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home located at 4560 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA. 23231. Richard will be laid to rest at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA.
