Mrs. Capehart was a very quiet lady who spent many hours in the Chapel every afternoon praying for her family. One day she surprised me by inching close to me to tell me something. She whispered: "The ? generation started last night." I cannot remember the generation number she said but she had to share her joy with someone. She loved her family and prayed for each by name. You could hear her whispering names before the Blessed Sacrament. She has been associated with The Little Sisters long before 1968-69 when I knew Elaine as a teenage Volunteer. How our hearts were broken leaving our Residents. Let us pray to rather than for Rosalie for vocations. May our Dear Blessed Mother comfort her dear family and reward them for all their love and support of our work. Sr. Colette, lsp

We were all SO blessed to have grandma in our lives as long as we did. 💗 She was a month shy of 105. Insane! I treasure the memories I have- & the best part is- they were ALL great ones. 🥰 She lived with my family growing up & was an integral part of raising us. She was the most sweetest, gentle, caring, & loving woman. I know this angel went straight to heaven. 🙏🏽 Rest in peace my precious grandmother. 😇 I love you so much! 

When Bobby was born, Grandma rode a bus to Baltimore to stay with us for a few days and to help me out.  One of the sweetest memories I have of her is watching her with my new baby boy.  I can still see the love in her eyes as she gazed at him, hear the softness in her voice as she spoke to him, and the gentleness in her hands as she held him.  In short, I loved how much she truly loved my son.  She used to tell me that "he was a little bit of heaven,"  Those weren't just words to Grandma.  She meant it and for my entire life I have felt her unconditional and genuine love for me and my family.  Mama, we love you and you will live in our hearts forever.  We will miss you, but look forward to seeing you in Heaven.

Grandma-I will forever be grateful for the compassion, sensitivity, and love for God and family that you instilled in your son Chip, who I as his wife have been the benefactor of.

I will also always remember of you …that regardless of whether it was the first grandchild or the last great great grandchild, you treated each one as if they were number one 

Mrs. Capehart was a very special person.
No matter how many friends of her children were around,  we were always welcome to join in.  What was one more person? 
  We all remember the BIG Spaghetti  dinners and  Birthday parties in her kitchen!!

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Field Capehart Sr.; as well as her two sons, Charles Jr. and Joseph. Those left to cherish her memory are her remaining children, Marilyn Packard (James), Ann Brunner, Lawrence (Linda), Elaine Guedri (Wayne), Anthony (Rose), Regina Moran (Robert), Marian Flournoy (Stephen), Robert (Paula), Richard (Lynda) and Marita Wilton; as well as 32 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
