Ryland Edgar Gorman, Sr.

Ryland Edgar Gorman, Sr., 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 15, 2021. He died suddenly after a short illness. He was preceded in death by his father, Ryland Epps Gorman; his mother, Hazel Rowe Gorman; and his beloved dog, Maggie. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carolyn Gorman; children, Ryland Gorman, Amanda Gorman and Barry Gorman (Teresa); grandchildren, Corey Gorman, Kyle Gorman and Caleb Gorman; and his sister, Mary Kay Connatser. Ryland worked as a plumber, welder and pipefitter for Local Number 10. He was a dedicated hunter and fisherman. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, Va. 23231, where a funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m. The interment will be private.
