Shirley Hightower Pease

Shirley Hightower “Grandma Shirley” Pease, 89, of Richmond, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019. Her family was her life and she was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charley D. Pease, Sr.; parents; two brothers; a sister; daughter, Evelyn Cook Howard; son-in-law, Larry Rowe; and three great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughters, Charlotte C. Rowe and Debra Cook Farmer (Lonnie); son-in-law, Gary Howard; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday, July 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave., Richmond, VA 23231 where services will be held Monday, July 8, at 12 noon.
