Teddy Max Tignor

Teddy Max Tignor passed away Friday, February 20, 2015 at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oakley and Hazel Tignor; brother, John C. Tignor; sister, Bernice Rubarth; and his beloved son, Michael. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Doris Leake Tignor; grandchildren, Christopher and Jennifer Tignor; daughter-in-law, Tina Tignor; brother, Harry D. Tignor (Ruthie) of Elkton, MD; sisters, Janice Hobson (John) of Lebanon, VA., Joyce Carter (James) of Midway Tenn., Martha Bates (John) of Marysville, PA., and Shirley Urich (Ron) of Enola, PA; and sister-in-law, Linda Tignor of Elkton, MD. Teddy retired with 25 years of service as a salesman and supervisor for Merita Bread. He enjoyed golf, fishing, NASCAR, and collecting sports cards. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 26th from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with funeral services on Friday, February 27th at 11 a.m. All services will take place at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, VA 23231. Teddy will be laid to rest at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA. Special thanks to the staff at Autumn Care.
