Tracey was born on April 11, 1970 in the Bronx, New York to William Boyd and Lorraine Prince. Shortly after, she was adopted by Carlston Jordan and Lorraine Prince-Jordan. In 2008, Tracey was happily married to Mathew Fotias and was given a beautiful daughter Sashianna Fotias.
Tracey attended Aquinas High school. She was an active member of the student council, servicing as an officer. She also became a member of the Cheerleading Squad. After graduating in 1988 from Aquinas High School she enrolled in Johnson C. Smith College in North Carolina majoring in Mass Communications. After one year, she returned to New York and enrolled at Herbert H. Lehman College, graduating in September, 1994 earning her Bachelor’s degree.
Tracey had a passion for helping people. During her employment at the Covenant House as a Resident Advisor, she assisted clients by finding housing and employment which help them to get back on their feet. She was also employed by AmeriCorps, working for an organization called Save A Generation as a Field Coordinator helping young adults. In 1999 Tracey relocated to Virginia to pursue a career in the Criminal Justice System. She was hired as an Officer and Supervisor at Riverside Criminal Justice Agency, where she built her career for 15 years. In 2015 Tracey became a Probation Officer with the City of Richmond Department of Justice Services in the Division of Adult Services.
Tracey truly loved her family and friends. She was our “ROCK”. She was always there and had an encouraging word to give during all situations. She was such a diverse soul. If she wasn’t telling you about her admiration for her Dallas Cowboys, she was either expressing her passion for hip hop, couponing, or positioning her camera to the perfect angle of a flawless selfie. And it doesn’t end there. An occasion wasn’t occasion unless she was giving you her famous bullhorn shout out or giving you the recipe to her world’s famous truth corn. She was an Angel sent from God and her work here on this earth was done. God wanted her back.
She leaves to cherish fond memories with her devoted family; Husband Mathew Fotias; daughters Sashianna Fotias and Keora Barclay; her parents Lorraine Prince-Jordan, Carlston (Angelina) Jordan and William (Mary) Boyd. Grandmothers Charlotte Prince and Oslyn Taylor; Grandfather Malcolm Prince; Sisters Wanda Williams and Malika (Cedric) Drumgoole; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is already missed.
