Wanda Faye Cameron

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman, and Mabel Vencill: Her sisters Freida Tench (Boyce) and Carol Kemp. Brothers in Law Mike Mahoney, Billy Kemp, and Eddie Beach.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons Ronnie Baker (Nicole) and Michael Baker (Stacey). Her grandchildren Jordan, Harrison, Riley, and Haley. Three great grandchildren Teagan, Ezrah, and Willow. Siblings Dave Vincell (Wanda), Darlene Young Buono (Tom), Aileen Mahoney, Vivian Beach, Shelby Harris, and numerous nieces and nephews.

At work in Verizon’s Operator Services, Wanda, as her co-workers knew her completed her career with thirty plus years of service and retired to enjoy her family in 2003, where her titles were simply Faye, Mom, Grandma Baker and Sissie.

The child of a pastor, she enjoyed attending church, reading her bible and the fellowship in being a member at Mechanicsville Christian Center. She loved to play tennis, travel, garden and spending time in her yard planting flowers. Faye loved to cook and have her family over for Sunday dinner. Of all the things that Faye loved to do spending time with her grandchildren was at the top of that list. She loved to help raise them and watching them play sports. She was always delighted to be with them in any setting.

Faye’s Celebration of Life service will be on Thursday August 8, 2024, at 4:00pm. Nelsen Funeral Home 4650 South Laburnum Avenue, Richmond Va. 23231
