Ted worked at Consumers Gas for 40 years before retiring where he met many great friends and enjoyed the customer service aspect which was so important to him.
He was known as “Smiling Teddy Renshaw” while enjoying his true passion of stock car racing which began when he was 16 years old where he had the opportunity to travel through Canada and the United States. Often heard saying “Number 5 in the program, number 1 in your heart” with a big smile. A member of the Merrittville Speedway Wall of Fame, the Four Score Hall of Fame in Western New York as well as the Fort Erie Sports Wall of Fame, he was very humbled but grateful. The love for the sport was always in his heart.
Ted also found time to be a dedicated and long time member of the Ridgeway Volunteer Fire Department where he served proudly as Chief for 10 years and could be counted upon for his wisdom and dedication day in and day out.
Ted’s greatest love was his family. He was at his best taking his gang on vacations to Florida, Collingwood, up north and Long Beach. He was truly a happy father, grandfather, great grandfather and a true friend to all.
Ted was fondly known for the tradition of “The Loving Cup”
