DRAKE, Aelene, age 74, of Rochester, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2021. She is survived by her children David Drake and Julie (Brian) Schweihofer; grandchildren Glenn, Lydia, and Cecilia Schweihofer; brothers Daniel Davis, Jr. and Russell Davis; sister Patricia Workman; nieces and nephews Aelene (Michael) Vanderveen and Michael (Sarah) Workman; grand-nieces and nephews Nick, Anna, and Eric. Aelene was born on April 1, 1947, in Pontiac, daughter of the late Daniel & Julia (Holzer) Davis. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School and worked at Chief Pontiac Federal Credit Union for 43 years. Following her career with the Credit Union, Aelene became a Realtor with Century 21 Sakmar & Associates in Rochester. She enjoyed volunteering at the Warehouse Thrift Store in Orion and was a member of Troy Church of the Nazarene. Aelene most enjoyed spending time with her family and was incredibly proud of her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 9th, 11 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 714 N. Lapeer Road in Lake Orion. Ms. Drake will lie in state at the church Tuesday, 10 a.m. The family will also receive friends Monday, from 5 to 8 pm at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester.
