Born in Port Huron, Michigan, to her loving parents, Carl and Betty Carter. Pat was known for her strong will, unwavering determination, and, above all, her deeply loving and generous heart. She lived her life putting others first, always ready with kindness and encouragement. Pat found joy in caring for those around her and gave freely of herself.
She was a great mother and an adoring Nana whose greatest happiness came from her family. Pat cherished every moment spent with her children and grandchildren and expressed her love through thoughtful gestures, meaningful conversations, and countless acts of generosity. She delighted in shopping for special gifts or cooking one of her famous meals, like mostaccioli, always eager to bring smiles to the faces of those she loved.
Pat dedicated 36 years of service to Meijer, where she worked faithfully until retiring at the age of 72. She took great pride in her work and formed many friendships.
She lived with a joyful spirit and a playful sense of fun. Pat loved going to the casino and playing bingo — where she seemed to always be lucky — and spending peaceful hours working on puzzles at American House. She adored her cats, who brought her constant comfort and companionship. Her strong faith guided her throughout her life and was a source of strength, hope in all she did.
She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Noel) Thompson and Lisa (Carl) Bidinger; her grandsons, Andrew and Christopher Bidinger; and her granddaughter, Sophie Thompson. She was deeply loved, and her legacy of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will continue to live on through her family and all whose lives she touched.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 8, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with a memorial service at 1:00 p.m., at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, MI 48307.
Pat will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Port Huron, Michigan.
