Beloved mother of Barbara (Dick) Doyle of White Lake, Michigan, Bonnie (Dan) Bruton of Metamora, Michigan, Tom (Tracy) Delleree of Apache Junction, Arizona, Cindy (Scott) Thomas of Mancelona, Michigan, Leslie Parks of Gillette, Wyoming, and Kimberly (Jamie) West of Lapeer, Michigan; dear grandmother of eight grand children and eleven great-grandchildren. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Peter B. Mellesmoen; and sisters Donna Hettwer, Audrey Gainor, Beverly Vigus, and Ellen Starks.
Barbara was born in Garden City, Michigan on November 28, 1935. She attended Rochester High School. Barbara married Peter B. Mellesmoen on December 3rd, 1983. Barbara was self-employed as a domestic engineer for over 40 years. She was an Aerie member of the Rochester Eagles Club.
Barbara loved ceramics, painting, and decorating cakes she made for others.
Barbara’s family will receive all for a memorial gathering on Saturday March 2nd, 2019, from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association online at www.alz.org. Envelopes will also be provided at Pixley Funeral Home.
