Ben Hal May Jr.

Ben Hal May Jr. age 96, of Shelby Township, Michigan passed away on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was born March 24, 1925 in Centerline, Michigan. Ben Hal May Jr. graduated from Centerline High School and went on to earn his Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University. He married Arlene Marguerite (nee Natzke) May on January 27, 1950 and they were together until her death. On June 19, 1999 he married his second wife, Elizabeth Goodnight and they were together until her passing. Ben May had a career in Clinical Psychology for 30 years at Macomb County Juvenile Court. Whenever he had free time he loved to go sailing on his boat. Ben May also enjoyed photography, music, and traveling.

He is survived by his children Ben (Sally Foster) Hal May III, Jan (Ralph Curry) Sherry May; daughter-in-law Cheryl May; stepson Mike Shore and grandchildren Sean May, Jennifer May, Matthew May-Curry, and Michelle May-Curry.

He is predeceased by his wives Arlene May and Elizabeth Goodnight, son David Terry May, and sister Arlene Ehardt.
