Berniece F. Peacock

Loving mother of Darlene (Leslie) Thompson and Linda Harper; dear grandmother of Lonnie Carl Harper II, Melanie Baas, Kenneth (Brandy) Thompson, Bethany (Richard) Allen, and Andrew (Lea) Thompson; great-grandmother of eleven great-grandchildren; sister of Henry King; and caring aunt to many nieces and nephews. Berniece was predeceased by her husband Nile Peacock; parents Henry and Myrtle (Greanya) King, and siblings Gerald King, Velma Seddan, Jack, Donald, and Robert King.

Berniece was born on September 19, 1924 in Flint, Michigan. She married Nile K. Peacock on October 29, 1944 and raised her family in Rochester. She was a homemaker and delighted in her family, serving wonderful food, crocheting afghans, baby blankets, and quilting.

Berniece’s family will welcome all for a visitation on Tuesday May 29th, 2018 from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday May 30th from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester.
