Christine Ellen Wilder

Christine E Wilder (Marries) age 56, passed away on April 25, 2014. She was born on July 12, 1957 residing in Rochester Hills, MI. She was married Dave Wilder on November 1, 1986. Chris grew up in Rochester, attending St John Lutheran school and graduated from Rochester high school. She graduated from Walsh College located in Troy, MI. For many years Chris was employed for RGIS Inventory Specialists in Management. More recently, Chris enjoyed working for The Give Thanks Bakery in Rochester.Giving back to others came naturally to Chris. She volunteered at the Rochester OPC with the Meals on Wheels program and at the Rochester Library with their online book sales. She was recognized in December 2012 as “Library Friend of the Year.”

Achieving the title as Master Gardner, Chris enjoyed her lovely garden at home. She also maintained a volunteer garden at the Detroit Zoo. Chris loved to travel. Both her and Dave spent the winter months at the vacation home in Florida. Chris was very athletic. She loved to play volleyball and was on several teams and volleyball groups. She met her husband, Dave, on the volleyball court many years ago. He was so impressed with her accuracy for “setting the ball” that he couldn’t leave without getting her phone number. Since Chris was rather petite, they always had an advantage because they were always underestimated by opposing teams.Chris was born to Claude Lee Marries, father (deceased January 1, 2000) and Ella E Marries (deceased April 20, 2014). She is survived by her brother, Terry Marries (Becky, spouse; David, son) and sister, Patty Bedard (Mark, spouse; sons Bob (Dennay, spouse, Lukas, son) and Jon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Rochester Library or The Detroit Zoo.
