Connie Drew, age 96, of Rochester Hills, was born November 23, 1928 in London, England and passed away January 21, 2025 in Rochester Hills. Beloved wife of the late Harold Drew for over 40 years. Connie is survived by many nieces, nephews, stepchildren, and friends. Connie was preceded in passing by her parents, William and Sarah Hughes; and her sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose (Fred) Champion and Anne (Austin) Jones.
Connie dedicated 40 years to an exceptional nursing career that spanned diverse fields and locations. She served as a midwife in Newfoundland and Labrador, bringing countless new lives into the world with care and compassion. Recognized for her excellence, she was named Nurse of the Year at Charing Cross Hospital in London. Later in her career, she worked as an industrial nurse for Chrysler in Windsor, ensuring the health and safety of the workforce.
Burial will be held Friday, January 24, 2025 at 2:00pm at Guardian Angel Cemetery, 4701 N. Rochester Road, Rochester.
